The United States has long been a leader in biomedical research, generating new therapeutic breakthroughs and innovations that advance the health of our nation and the world. However, existing treatments do not sufficiently address the needs of many Americans, and it is unclear how the nation’s investments in new therapies align with disease burden and unmet need.

This National Academies’ report examines the challenges in better aligning investment in therapeutic development with disease burden and unmet need and offers recommendations to close these gaps.

Please join the National Academies for a webinar on July 15th from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm ET to explore its new report and how the United States can better align spending with therapeutic needs to ultimately deliver better health outcomes for all Americans.
