TRB Webinar: Supply Chain Risk and Resilience—Linking Transportation and Economic Models

October 6, 2022

2:30 PM - 4:00 PM (EDT)

Past

Disruptions to transportation supply chains can cause cascading effects globally and socioeconomically. The California Transportation Commission is using logistics models incorporating artificial intelligence and resilience analytics to forecast and prepare for major disruptions to the supply chain. TRB hosted a webinar on Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM Eastern that discussed these leading-edge technologies and the impacts this modeling can have on a larger scale. Presenters shared an extensive analytical understanding of infrastructure and supply chains, with immediate application to transportation needs.

This webinar was sponsored by the TRB Standing Technical Committee on Critical Transportation Infrastructure Protection.

The slides are linked in the meeting materials. View the recorded webinar below.

Webinar agenda and presenters

  • Transportation supply chain challenges in California – Hannah Walter, California Transportation Commission
  • Risk and resilience analytics and supply chains – Kelsey Stoddard, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
  • Artificial intelligence for supply chain resilience – Andrew Strelzoff, U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center
  • Question and answer session moderated by Igor Linkov, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
