Description
The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will appoint an ad hoc committee to organize a one-day workshop associated with the 50th anniversary of the Aeronautics and Space Engineering Board (ASEB) that will focus on promoting discussions among the participants on:
- Historical contributions of the ASEB to the development of the U.S. civil aeronautics sector;
- An outline of the current state of play of the civil aeronautics sector; and
- A visioning exercise to discuss how the United States civil aeronautics enterprise may evolve over the next 30 years.
This workshop will be held at the ASEB's fall 2017 meeting. A brief rapporteur-authored proceedings will be published.
