A nudge in the right direction can help you make better decisions about health, wealth, and happiness according to National Academy of Sciences member and author Richard H. Thaler. Use techniques from behavioral science to revolutionize transportation. TRB hosted a webinar on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM Eastern that provided innovative strategies and practical applications of nudges can initiative change in transportation systems. Presenters shared how user segmentation and targeted behavioral interventions can significantly reduce travel demand across diverse demographics and geographical regions. Presenters also provided real world examples of how behavioral science can enhance the efficiency, sustainability, and user-friendliness of transportation systems.
