Convened by TRB, the 2025 TRB Annual Meeting is held January 5-9, 2025 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C.

The TRB Annual Meeting attracts thousands of transportation professionals from around the world. The program covers all transportation modes, with sessions and workshops addressing topics of interest to policy makers, administrators, practitioners, researchers, and representatives of government, industry, and academic institutions.

Specialty workshops take place on Sunday, January 5 and Thursday, January 9.

Sunday, January 5 - Careers in Motion Networking Fair

Monday, January 6 - Sandi Rosenbloom will deliver her Thomas B. Deen Distinguished Lecture, “How Little We Really Know: The Unrecognized Centrality of Marginal Groups in Transportation Planning and Policy”

Wednesday, January 8 -

TRB Award winners to be recognized include:

  • Sandi Rosenbloom, 2025 recipient of the Thomas. B. Deen Distinguished Lectureship
  • Nuria Fernandez, 2025 recipient of the Frank Turner Medal for Lifetime Achievement in Transportation
  • Rolf R. Schmitt, the 2024 recipient of the Robert E. Skinner, Jr. Distinguished Transportation Research Management Award
  • Halil Ceylan, the 2024 recipient of the Roy W. Crum Award
  • Chandra R. Bhat, recipient of the 2024 W.N. Carey, Jr. Distinguished Service Award

Speakers at the Chair's Plenary will address U.S. and internationalresearch priorities and building cultures of technology, policy, and process innovations to overcome our most pressing challenges.
