TRB Webinar: Container Port Landside Congestion Experiences and Solutions

February 5, 2024

12:00 PM - 1:30 PM (EST)

Past

The global supply chain crisis was accompanied by record container cargo volumes at ports on the Pacific, Atlantic, and Gulf coasts that resulted in container yards at capacity and decreased operational efficiency impacting multiple aspects of landside port operations. TRB hosted a webinar on Monday, February 5, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM Eastern that reflected on how stakeholders handled landside congestion and the solutions that could be implemented in the future. Presenters discussed recent experiences and the infrastructure and technological approaches that have and can be implemented.

This webinar was a follow on to TRB Webinar: Navigating the Supply Chain Congestion Crisis.

This webinar was sponsored by the TRB Standing Technical Committees on Ports and Channels and International Trade and Transportation.

The slides are linked in the meeting materials. View the recorded webinar below.
