State agencies and businesses have been improving the resilience of transportation systems to climate change and extreme weather impacts. TRB hosted a webinar on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM Eastern that will highlight emerging evidence-based best practices on resilience planning and projects, resilient recovery, and resilience processes and programs. Presenters focused on understanding vulnerability and improving resilience to climate change and extreme weather events impacting all modes of transportation. Presenters also shared efforts to integrate resilience in other aspects of the transportation sector, including design, engineering, planning, asset management, operations, maintenance, emergency management, and communications.

This webinar supported TRB’s Transportation Resilience 2023 conference that will be held November 13-15, 2023 in Washington, D.C.
