TRB Webinar: Aggregate Sustainability—Production

May 15, 2023

1:00 PM - 2:30 PM (EDT)

Past

Quarry by-products are produced during blasting, crushing, washing, and screening operations. Developing pavement applications for quarry by-products and other off-spec products is key to achieving aggregate sustainability. TRB hosted a webinar on Monday, May 15, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM Eastern that provided an overview of the impact of aggregate sources on sustainability and share examples of how aggregates are currently being evaluated. Presenters shared two case studies – evaluating supply and demand of aggregates in Ohio and characterizing quarry by-products in Illinois.

This webinar was sponsored by TRB’s Standing Technical Committee on Aggregates.

The slides are linked in the meeting materials. View the recorded webinar below.
