State departments of transportation (DOTs) can make big strides towards the future of automated vehicles by maintaining and building infrastructures that will support them. TRB hosted a webinar on Thursday, September 15, 2022 that provided a framework for thinking about the impacts of automated vehicles (AVs) on the transportation network. Presenters offered guidance on integrating analytical frameworks into planning, design, operations, and maintenance activities, and discussed lessons learned from a current case study in AV infrastructure system platforms.
