More is not always better, especially when it comes to information. Project delivery information systems organize and control the flow of project data and information to save time and money. TRB hosted a webinar on Friday, July 15, 2022 from 1:30 – 3:00 PM Eastern that explored ways that integrating and aligning informational and operational technology can support the effective delivery of transportation projects. Presenters also examined ways to potentially advance the state of practice from a traditional paper-based paradigm in design, construction, and asset management to a data centric model; and highlight emerging information system trends and technologies, such as smart city and digital twins.
This webinar was sponsored by the TRB Standing Technical Committees on Construction Management, and on Information Systems Technology.
The slides are available. Please contact trbwebinar@nas.edu for a link to the recording. There may be a $90 fee.
